#12: Apartment Therapy

This is another site that's awesome for killing time, so if you're one of those lucky people with a job where you can fool around on a computer all day, this one's for you. Do you want some ideas on how to redecorate? Do you want to look at amazing rooms in houses you'll never be able to afford? Do you want money saving tips on how to make your pad cute for less? This site provides all of that as well as totally random articles that I can't quite relate to apartments at all like, "Why does my partner watch porn?" Random? Yes. Did I read it anyway? You bet I did. Come look at amazing lofts, to-die-for kitchens and bedrooms that will make you want to go to the nearest Pier 1 and buy everything. Come on, you know you want to.

#11: Wallbase

The thumbnail above is actually a big, beautiful 1920X1080 wallpaper, one which is currently adorning my desktop. This is the biggest desktop wallpaper database I've ever seen. There's no popups, no sketchy membership required, and features amazingly high def, widescreen wallpapers for practically every topic I can think of. A search bar makes finding things easy. Warning, if you type in "anime" you'll spend hours looking through hundreds of results.

#10: Eyeshadow Lipstick

This probably won't seem that exciting unless you're a makeup addict like me. This blog is updated several times a day with fashions most titillating and cutting edge makeup looks. Editorials, ad campaigns and submissions from photographers and makeup artists around the world all find their way onto the blog. Most of the looks are a little dramatic for everyday wear but they're great for coordinating colors and giving some inspiration if your makeup creativity has run a little dry.

#9: Face of the Future

No, these pictures are not me playing with Photoshop. I actually just found this site last night and had so much fun with it that I decided to share. The people over at the University of Saint Andrews have used a lot of mathematics and computer science to figure out how to transform a face! Upload your picture and you can age it forwards, backwards and even change your ethnicity. My favorite part is it also can transform you into one of many artistic styles. How would you look painted by Mucha, Modigiani or Boticelli? You can even transform yourself into an ape man/woman or an anime character!

If anybody wants to post their transformed faces, I'd like to see what you came up with!

#8: Craftgawker

If you're looking for a database of DIY projects, look no further! Craftgawker has over 400 pages of tutorials showing you how to turn old T-shirts into new tops, accessories, pillows and even rugs. Those paint swatches at the hardware store? How about turning them into a chandelier, notebook or wall hanging? You can make a Christmas present for anyone, redecorate your apartment, make some cool new jewelry, or make coasters out of old Scrabble tiles like the picture above. There's even tutorials and advice for taking better pictures via a real camera or with your iphone. Even if you're totally talentless, there's a project for you on this site! Beware, browsing can kill hours and hours and may inspire you to go to your nearest craft store.

It's been a long time since I made a to do list on LJ but I find it really helps me be productive.

Call caterer and make appointment
Call retailer for quote on prices for bridesmaid's dresses
Go to bank
Clean all makeup palettes/brushes
Figure out what I'm making for dinner
Do daily workout
Change cat litter
Write at least 1000 words of my May Flowers fic. I haven't even started.

Wish me luck!

#7: Body Rock

Let's be realistic. How many of us swore this New Year's to loose weight? How many of us spent all this money for a gym membership, went for two weeks and then never again? How many watched what they ate for one whole day and then had cold pizza for breakfast? Well NO MORE. What if I told you there was a website that uploaded home workouts you could do in your living room? What if I told you this same website also had healthy recipes and a gigantic active facebook group where you could go to ask questions, get moral support and keep yourself accountable? Well guess what, click the link above and that's exactly where you'll be!

Most of the workouts use equipment, but exercises can easily be modified to do them without. If there's only one website you visit in this list of 100, let it be this one. If you do one of these workouts 5 days a week and honestly push yourself as hard as you can for the required 12 minutes as well as genuinely alter your diet, you WILL see results. I did. :) You only get out of it what you put into it. It's only 12 minutes. Isn't that worth it for a bikini-ready body? Best of all there's no membership. You can get in shape for FREE!

This sit is super cool and has lots of uses. Using an inspiration picture, four to six colors are compiled to create a perfectly coordinated color scheme. This is really great for trying to pick colors for weddings, scrapbook pages, outfits, or even for the room you're redecorating. A color combo might even spark a new painting for those artists out there. Even if you can think of absolutely nothing where you would need a pre-coordinated color scheme, the site is still really fun to look at.

#5: Chocolate Covered Katie

If you're like me, you have the dilemma of really liking dessert and REALLY hating gaining weight. Well guess what, the solution is here! Chocolate Covered Katie is a blog dedicated to healthy food recipes and especially healthy desserts. Cheesecake? Cookies? Ice cream? All GOOD for you? Sounds to good to be true doesn't it? But in fact, all of her recipes are vegan and some are even raw. (Although she looks a little TOO skinny to me. She has no muscle mass at all so maybe all you meat eaters out there shouldn't give up your burgers just yet.) I made her sweet potato chili and my fiance devoured the whole pot! Her milkshakes are also great for breakfast and her cookie dough dip actually tastes like cookie dough (and yet it is made from chick peas. Magic!) If you want to eat sweets without the risk of fatness and diabetes, you should definitely check out this site.
